Wrinkle Smoothers
Wrinkle treatments are prescription muscle relaxant medicine which contains the active substance Botulinum Toxin A (often referred to as Botox). They work by partially blocking nerve impulses and the effect depends upon where it is injected. If injected into a muscle, it will reduce excessive contractions of that muscle. It can be used for the temporary improvement in the appearance of wrinkles as well as slowing the progression of deeper wrinkle formation. These injections are more commonly used to the upper face regions to treat vertical lines between the eyebrows seen at maximum frown, fan-shaped lines from the corner of the eyes (Crows feet) seen at maximum smile, and horizontal forehead lines, seen when raising the eyebrows.
